South America Tour Package Itinerary in Details

Day - 1 - Lima

Arrival into Lima Peru. Upon arrival, you will be met by a local representative for a transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Lima.

Day - 2 - Lima

Lima Half Day City Tour After breakfast proceed to a visit that allows you to see the Historical Center: Plaza Mayor ("Main Square"), the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, the City Hall and old streets with colonial mansions and Moorish balconies. You will also visit the San Francisco Convent, which has the most magnificent monumental collection of colonial art in America.

The tour will continue through the most traditional residential areas of Lima which include San Isidro, Miraflores and Larco Mar, a stop of international thematic attractions which offers a spectacular panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean. Overnight in Lima.

Day - 3 - Lima – Cusco

City tour, Sacsayhuaman & nearby Ruins After breakfast, transfer to Lima airport to take your flight to Cusco. You will be met on arrival by a local representative for a transfer to your hotel. Morning at leisure. In the afternoon, you will visit the Imperial City, a living example of the mixture of the Andean and Spanish cultures. Later visit the Santo Domingo Convent, built over the Koricancha, an ancient Inca palace and main worship centre of the Sun God.

Later, you stop at the Main Square, where you can find the Cathedral and the beautiful Church of La Compañía. Going on with the tour, visit the Sacsayhuaman Fortress, imposing sample of military Inca architecture which domains the city. Finally, we will take a look at the archaeological sites of Qenko, Puca-Pucara and Tambomachay, located northeast of the city. Overnight in Cusco.

Day - 4 - Cusco - Sacred Valley: Pisac Market and Ollantaytambo

After breakfast you will be driven towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas, taking the direct route to Pisac. You stop on the way to have a classic view of the Urubamba valley, with crops dressing the mountains like carpets. You arrive at the colourful market of Pisac, where you will have free time to interact with the local craftsmen or to purchase their hand-made souvenirs.

Later, continue to the town of Urubamba for a buffet lunch. Finally, visit Ollantaytambo, an attractive town of Inca origin with remarkable channels and stone streets. In its high part one rises to an impressive ceremonial centre of cult to the water and a fortress that guarded the access to the inferior part of the valley. Overnight in Sacred Valley.

Day - 5 - Machu Picchu “The Lost City of the Incas”

After breakfast today you will visit one of the most important energetic centres of the world: Machu Picchu. The excursion will be by train and during the trip, we will have an amazing view of the landscapes of the Sacred Valley of Urubamba. Upon arrival at Aguas Calientes, you will be assisted to board the bus which will take you to the citadel. It is an unforgettable experience, where a professional tour guide will transmit you to the history around this mysterious and charming place.

After the guided tour, you will have free time to explore the zone on your own, relax and meditate. Buffet lunch at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge of Orient Express. Overnight in Aguas Calientes.

Day - 6 - Machu Picchu - Cusco

Day at leisure to further explore the ruins at your own pace. Enjoy the sunrise over the ruins and watch the mist rise over this mountain top citadel at dawn or perhaps climb Huayna Picchu. Be sure to leave yourself enough time to be back at the train station at Aguas Calientes in time for your afternoon departure to Cusco. You will be met at the train station for transfer to your hotel in Cusco. Overnight in Cusco.

Day - 7 - Cusco - Puno

After breakfast leave from the Cusco, hotel to start our trip by bus to Puno, so you can enjoy the wonderful scenery of the South Valley of Cusco. You visit Andahuaylillas, a town where a precious church from the 17th century boasts an amazing organ decorated with angels and cherubs. You continue with a visit to the Racchi ruins, known as “The Temple of God Wiracocha”.

Lunch will be served in a restaurant on route. Stop at Pucara and then at La Raya, the highest point on the road between Cusco and Puno, from where you get excellent photo opportunities. The arrival to Puno is in the afternoon and then, you will be taken to your hotel. Overnight in Puno.

Day - 8 - Puno - Buenos Aires

Arrive in Buenos Aires and transfer to your hotel. Buenos Aires is the capital of Argentina is the most cosmopolitan city in South America and the gateway to it. It’s a charming city which was strongly influenced by the most important European cities. There are beautiful walks, avenues and parks, monumental buildings, pavement cafes, museums and churches gathered in 26 districts, each of which shows its own personality.

The aristocratic Northern quarter resembles the most elegant areas in Paris; Avenida de Mayo and its uncountable coffee houses revive the flavour of Madrid’s Gran Via; the shady Belgrano streets recall the charm of the distinguished London’s suburbs; Naples seems to be present in the noisy and coloured La Boca quarter. Overnight in Buenos Aires.

Day - 9 - Buenos Aires - City Tour

The most important sights of Buenos Aires arise from this tour. It brings you through the narrow streets of the old city and broad avenues that mark Buenos Aires’ modern growth. Around Plaza de Mayo (May Square), you will see the “Casa Rosada”, the rose coloured presidential residence, the Cathedral and the Cabildo (Town Hall). On South America’s broadest avenue, “Avenida 9 de Julio”, we see the Colon Theatre (South America’s most important Opera House) and the “Obelisco”.

You will also drive through the charming streets of San Telmo and down the colourful roads of La Boca, famous for its multicolour tin houses. La Boca is the place where the first immigrants have built their houses, showing an exciting mix between Italian and Argentine cultures. Overnight in Buenos Aires.

Day - 10 - Buenos Aires

After breakfast today the day at leisure. Overnight in Buenos Aires.

Day - 11 - Buenos Aires - Iguazu

In due time, transfer from Hotel to local Airport to board your flight to Iguaçu. Upon arrival, transfer to Iguaçu Falls National Park. In the Northeast of Argentina a dense forest, inhabited by over 400 different varieties of birds, marks one of the most beautiful landscapes of the world, Iguaçu Falls. It is here that Iguaçu River hurls itself down to a rocketed in 257 falls over 70 meters high.

Crashing at the bottom the water shatters to a fine spray which, rising up forms a multitude of rainbows. Visit one of the wonders of the world. Catwalks and observatories will let us enjoy the magnificent falls, one of the wonders of the world, which culminates in the impressive Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat), where the Iguaçu River crashes down almost 80 meters offering a breathtaking experience. Overnight in Iguaçu.

Day - 12 - Iguaçu

Today from the visitor's centre you can walk around trails or on a picturesque train. There are two basic circuits: an upper path and a lower path. The lower path leads to the base of the falls, where the spray moistens visitors. It is a unique experience, worth daring the adventure. From the upper path, you have panoramic views from the footbridge in an unforgettable experience.

Leaving from Cataratas station, you go to the footbridge on the upper part of the river. You get to the balcony on the Devil's Throat, the biggest fall with such a big flow of water that you will be overcome by the grandeur of the scenery. Overnight in Iguazu.

Day - 13 - Iguaçu - Rio de Janeiro

In due time, transfer to the local airport in order to board your flight towards Rio de Janeiro Brazil. Upon arrival at Rio International Airport, you will be transferred to the hotel. Overnight in Rio de Janeiro

Day - 14 - Rio de Janeiro

Full day Loaf of Sugar and Corcovado Morning tour to one of the older parts of Rio called Cosme Velho, from where you take the train to the Corcovado Mountain with the gigantic statue of Christ the Redeemer (2.300ft above sea level). A modern Swiss-made cogwheel rail climbs the mountain from its base at 15 meters almost to the summit at 710 meters. The trip up takes 17 minutes approx, at a maximum speed of 15km/h. The trip down takes 22min. speed of 12km/h. Return to your hotel.

This afternoon visit to the world-famous Sugar Loaf Mountain in the middle of the Guanabara Bay, from where one of the most breathtaking views of the city of Rio can be seen. (Take the two-stage car up to the top of the Mountain). The tour also offers a panoramic tour to downtown Rio, which is a great opportunity to see some of the historical sites of the city such as the Cathedral and the Municipal Theatre. Overnight in Rio de Janeiro.

Day - 15 - Rio De Janeiro – Manaus

In due time, transfer to Rio International Airport in order to board your flight to Manaus. Arrive and transfer to the hotel. Check-in and you have time free at leisure. Pick-up and transfer to the Casa Docks. Short visit to the Meeting of the Waters by boat and transfer to the Amazon Ecopark Jungle Lodge. Reception with local juice after which guests will be shown to the rooms. Dinner and evening tour by canoe with the opportunity of Alligator Spotting. Overnight at the lodge.

Day - 16 - Manaus

Breakfast followed by Nature-Hike. Lunch. After a short rest, visit the home of local Amazonian residents with the Fishing tour. Dinner and overnight.

Day - 17 - Manaus

Breakfast and visit to the Monkey Jungle. Check-out and transfer to Manaus.
