Day - 1 - Arrive Paro - Travel to Thimphu ( approx 65 kms / approx 1 and half hours drive )
Welcome to your
Romantic Getaway - Bhutan tour, On arrival at Paro International Airport you will be met and transferred to Thimpu,the capital city of Bhutan (65 KMS / 02 HRS, 2134Mts / 7000Fts) visitors can enjoy relaxing walk in the valley at evening.
Rest of the day is at leisure for independent activities.

Day - 2 - Thimphu Sightseeing - Travel to Wangdi
After breakfast goes for half day Thimphu sightseeing - visit Memorial Chorten - the Stupa built-in 1974 in the memory of late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk.
Also, visit Mothinthang zoo and Viewpoint. Afternoon drive to Wangdiphodrang (70 KMS /03 HRS, 1350Mts / 4430Fts) the last town on the highway before entering central Bhutan.
The drive over Dochu La pass is very scenic with a fascinating view of mountains of Bhutan.
Rest of the evening is free to enjoy exploring markets on own.

Day - 3 - In Wangdi - Excursion to Gangtey Gompa
After breakfast go for Full day Gangtey excursion. Gangtey Gompa in the Phobjikha Valley is a 16th-century monastery.
It is the only monastery in Bhutan, which follows the Nyingmapa sect of Buddhism. The Phobjikha valley is home to rare Black Necked Crane, an endangered species, which migrate from the Tibetan plateau in winters. About 250-300 of these reside in this beautiful valley.
Return to Wangdiphodrang in the evening. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day - 4 - Travel to Paro ( approx 135 km / approx 5 hours drive )
After breakfast leave for Punakha, the valley which lies amidst snow-capped mountain peaks.
Visit Punakha Dzong (The Punakha Dzong is closed in winter months when the monk body is in Punakha. All visit to Dzong and Monasteries limited till courtyard only) built at the confluence of the Po and Mo Chu Rivers in the 17th Century by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyel served as the capital of Bhutan until 1955. The Dzong houses sacred artefacts and the embalmed body of Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyel.
Drive to Paro (135 KMS / 05 HRS, 2134Mts / 7000Fts). Rest of the day is at leisure for independent activities.

Day - 5 - Paro Sightseeing
After breakfast go for Paro sightseeing - visit Drukyel Dzong, the historical fortress built-in 1647 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyel to commemorate his victory over Tibetan invaders.
Also, visit Ta Dzong (National Museum) Opening Hours - Tuesday to Saturday - 0900HRS TO 1600HRS & Closed On Sunday, Monday and National Holidays, which was built in 1651 as a watchtower.
Since 1951 the Dzong has been re-established as the National Museum and holds fascinating collections of art and religious Thanka paintings. Visitors can enjoy a relaxing walk in the valley at evening.

Day - 6 - Depart Paro - Return Home with Happy Memories
Today bid farewell to your 'Romantic Getaway- Bhutan' tour, as you are transferred to Paro Airport for your onward journey.
