WelcomHeritage recently added its very first property in the picturesque city of Pondicherry – now known as Puducherry. This splendid heritage property  WelcomHeritage Calve, was owned by a Chettiar family and dates back to more than 150 years – when the region was a splendid example of the distinctive architecture of that period. The result of extensive and meticulous restoration, has ensured that the bungalow continues to retain a true image of its heritage. Its unmistakable French ambience, can be seen in its tall columns, wooden shutters, tiled flooring, fine woodwork and circular balconies with wrought iron railings that jut out over the tiled roof of the verandah below.

The property’s 11 air conditioned rooms are set with period furniture and soft furnishings in keeping with the property’s heritage status. Continental, Indian and local cuisines along with popular French dishes are served.

Chettinad Rooms
Chettinad rooms would be the starting room category at the hotel. Welcome drink & cold towel on arrival, sea sonal fresh fruit in room, special bathroom amenities, unlimited Wi-Fi complimentary, complimentary Pondy Memento on departure. MAP rooms would include meal for 1 or 2 people, in a 3 course Pre-Plated (Salad or starter / Main course with accompaniments / Dessert followed by Coffee / Tea) with a beer pint or tasting glass of wine or a mock tail at Salle Manger.

Duplex Room
Duplex Rooms would be more superior offering as compared to the Chettinad Rooms and should be sold as a Special for young couples. Would include welcome drink & cold towel on arrival, fresh fruits and the Calve goodie box in room, bath salts & special upgraded bathroom amenities in the rooms, 1 or 2 drinks complimentary ( 30 ml or pint of beer) depending on room occupancy, Wi-Fi complimentary, complimentary heritage walk in association with INTACH (on request) MAP rooms would include meal for 1 or 2 people, in a 3 course meal ( Salad or starter / Main course with accompaniments / Dessert followed by Coffee / Tea ) with a beer pint or tasting glass of wine or a mock tail at Salle Manger

Grand Calve Chamber
The Grand Calve Suite would be the finest in the hotel, with special settings, King Size bed & Copper tub, candles, aroma oil, DVD player (on request), fresh flowers in room (changed daily)
Other add-ons would be glass/glasses of champagne on arrival, cold towel on arrival, grand fresh fruit platter, the chocolate fantasy platter in room, evening in room set-up of refreshments with juices, nuts, an evening bath with candle, aroma oils and bath salts would be drawn by our housekeeping team, a specially created 4 course sea food meal in an exclusive table at Salle A Manger restaurant or in room, 2 drinks complimentary, unlimited wi-fi, Complimentary heritage walk, and a special ‘Aroma’ massage for 1 person.
