As a large variety of bird species visit the Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary, it is a famous Birding Sight for the visitors. Since the Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary is isolated, it is safeguarded from timber and animal poaching.
Gompas of Bomdila : The monastery is situated in the Western Kameng and is famous as the GRL Monastery. Recognized as one of the major centres of the Lamaistic faith of Mahayana Buddhism, it houses the Buddhist Lamas and monks.
Bhalukpong : Located 100 km from Bomdila, Bhalukpong is situated 213 m above sea level. According to historical evidence, Bhalukpong was once ruled by the local tribal rulers known as the 'Aka'.
The Kameng Elephant Reserve : The elephant reserve is located in the foothills of the Himalayas. The Reserve was established on 19th June 2002, to manage the population of Large Asiatic Elephants in the region. The Kameng reserve extends from the Papum River to the common boundary between Arunachal Pradesh and Bhutan. The Sessa Orchid Sanctuary, the Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary, the Pakhui Tiger Reserve and the three famous Reserved Forests under Khellong Forest Division.
Sessa Orchid Sanctuary : It is a 100-km protected area, nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas in Bhalukpong. The Department of Environment and Forests has created trekking routes along the area. At the Sanctuary, the majestic mountain terrains, valleys and gorges create a surreal ambience for the nature lovers.
